Sustainability

Responsible Manufacturing.
Measurable Impact.

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint while helping our customers meet their own sustainability goals.

Recyclable Material Usage

Our products are designed with recyclability in mind, using materials that align with current recycling systems and standards. From resin selection to closure compatibility, every container we produce is engineered to move smoothly through the recovery stream once its first job is done.

HDPE (#2) Containers

Widely accepted in curbside programs across North America and readily reprocessed into new packaging.

PET (#1) Containers

Clear, lightweight, and one of the most recovered plastics in the world, supporting a strong bottle-to-bottle cycle.

Mono-Material Design

We favor single-resin constructions that avoid mixed materials, so containers can be sorted and recycled without separation.

Recycling-Ready Labeling

Resin identification codes are molded into every container, and we work with customers on labels and adhesives that stay compatible with recycling systems.

Lightweighting

Through wall-thickness optimization we reduce the material in each container without compromising strength, cutting resin use and shipping weight.

PCR Capabilities

We offer post-consumer recycled (PCR) material options to help reduce reliance on virgin plastics and support circular production models. Our team can help you specify the right PCR content for your product, balancing appearance, performance, and regulatory requirements without slowing down your production schedule.

Waste Reduction Initiatives

We continuously optimize our processes to minimize production waste and improve material efficiency. Each initiative below is built into how we run the floor every day, not treated as a one-time project.

About Nexgen

Trim, flash, and start-up material from our blow molding lines is captured, ground, and reintroduced into production wherever specifications allow, keeping usable resin out of the waste stream.

  • Closed-loop regrind on HDPE production lines
  • Segregated collection by resin type to protect material quality
  • Off-spec material routed to approved recyclers rather than landfill

Tight process monitoring and preventive maintenance reduce rejects at the source. Fewer defects mean less material scrapped, less rework, and more consistent product for our customers.

  • Statistical process control on critical dimensions and weights
  • Operator-led first-article and in-line quality checks
  • Root-cause reviews on every recurring defect

Waste reduction extends beyond the molding floor. We optimize case counts, pallet patterns, and secondary packaging so finished goods ship with less material and fewer trucks on the road.

  • Reusable and recyclable corrugated and stretch materials
  • Pallet configurations optimized for cube utilization
  • Bulk and returnable packaging programs for high-volume customers

Energy Efficiency Efforts

Our facility incorporates energy-efficient technologies and practices to reduce overall consumption and environmental impact. Because plastics manufacturing is energy-intensive by nature, efficiency is one of the most direct ways we can lower the footprint of every container we produce.

High-efficiency machinery — modern blow molding equipment and drives that draw less power per unit produced.
Optimized heating & cooling — process cooling and plant HVAC tuned to run only as hard as production requires.
LED lighting & smart controls — facility-wide LED conversion with occupancy and daylight sensing.
Continuous monitoring — energy use tracked against output so improvements are measured, not assumed.

Future Goals

We are actively exploring new materials, technologies, and partnerships to further enhance our sustainability efforts. Sustainability is a direction of travel, not a finish line, and these are the areas where we are focusing next.

New Materials

Evaluating higher PCR content, bio-based resins, and additive-free colorants that keep containers fully recyclable.

New Technologies

Investing in next-generation molding, automation, and energy monitoring that lower consumption per unit produced.

Strategic Partnerships

Working with suppliers, recyclers, and industry groups to expand material recovery and share verified progress.
